About the Course
Patrol Interdiction is a comprehensive training program designed to equip Law Enforcement Officers with the legal frameworks and proactive strategies required to disrupt criminal networks. It begins with Legal Guidelines and Drug Control, establishing a bulletproof foundation in constitutional law. Officers will master the legal nuances of Police-Citizen Contacts, the elements of Drug Possession, and the regulatory structure of the Controlled Substances Act. Moving beyond theory, the curriculum focuses on Drug Identification and Criminal Violations. Participants will learn to recognize Descriptions and Conversions of illicit substances and utilize Field Tests and Lab Analysis for confirmation. Additionally, this section covers the legal definitions and seizure guidelines regarding Drug Paraphernalia and Drug Crimes, ensuring Officers can build strong criminal cases that successfully withstand judicial scrutiny in the courtroom. The course culminates in high-impact Interdiction Strategies that transform routine street operations into powerful tools for intercepting contraband. Officers will study advanced tactics for executing constitutional Traffic Stops, mastering both the legal limits of vehicle searches and the safety mechanics of road-based deployments. Finally, the training covers Interviews & Indicators, teaching professional behavioral analysis and communication techniques to help officers detect criminal anomalies, spot deceptive indicators, and safely manage high-risk encounters.
